Introducing the 2018 Joy of Learning calendar.
Do you look for activities to do with your child? To bond with them over their interests? To feed their curiosity, to motivate them to work on a project, to get their hands dirty?
Look no further! Our team at Imagin8ors has curated a unique calendar with events and moments that could serve as a springboard for oodles of exploration, wonder and fun!
These events span a variety of interests like nature, science, stories, math, coding etc. They include some that are celebrated by communities across the world, that you can connect with. Furthermore, each event presents an opportunity to for your child and you to learn something new together!
Check them out!
5 simple ways to make the most of these moments.
1. Involve your child :
Read the calendar together with your child. See which events they are naturally excited or curious about. Invite ideas of what you could do together for the next event?
2. Plan together :
Work with your child and chart out a specific plan. Ask them to write it on a chart paper or their blackboard. Plan out materials you might need. Build anticipation and excitement.
3. Research & talk :
Encourage your child to ask questions. Find out answers together. Help them connect the dots to what they are learning in school and outside. Build a deeper understanding of the event and its context.
4. Tinker hands-on :
Make something together. Allow them to fail, re-design and iterate. This is a wonderful way to build focus and help your child stay with a project. As an example, for World Tourism Day, you could decide to build a portable waste dispenser and segregator together to keep your next vacation destination even cleaner!
5. Engage friends & classmates :
Learning as a group is fun! Ask your child to pick events where they could involve their friends, classmates, even teachers. These events can serve as useful material for show & tell. They can also help connect with like minded parents and children!
What are you waiting for?
Print your calendar and get started!
A whole new year of bonding and learning awaits your child and you.
